My Thoughts on Sunny Girl:
This is a quality romance, filled with characters who are insecure, and romantic, and not quite willing to compromise at first.
Katherine is a character I identify with almost all too much, especially when it comes to romance, and willingness to give up your so called independence (Read: Cynicism).
And Eamon. Well he’s just plain delish. I want one of my own, especially if he’s going to write songs about me and shock all my relatives.
The family aspect of this story brings a tension I think we can all identify with, even if it it’s not quite the same circumstances that you read about in this novel. Loss is universal, but our reactions to it aren’t, and this novel explores that in a fascinating way.
I enjoyed this novel, and it’s great on a chilly fall day.
