COLLECTING: Star Wars: Jango Fett (2024) 1-4, Star Wars: Revelations (2023) 1 (Story 5)
This series of comics takes place pre-Clone Wars, and pre-Jango’s first contact with the Sith known as Darth Tyranus but after Galidraan for those wondering.
My Thoughts:
Comic books count as reading and I will fight anyone who says otherwise, capiche?
This book takes place pre-Clone Wars (32 BBY) and is a very different version of Jango Fett from the one you meet in Attack of the Clones, and the one who gets sadly or maybe happily decapitated by Mace Windu. His image is still based off the wonderful, amazing Temuera Morrison (I have a crush, okay) and is a man trying to, “make his way in the universe,” a line that made me cheer aloud when reading and was offered by him and then to him in satire.
I will let you know I have a slight infatuation with the clones, Tem and a fascination for Jango Fett, and what led to him becoming the template for the clones so this might be a little bit of a biased review on my part.
There is tons of action in this compilation and a lot of moments fans became familiar with whilst watching the clone wars, or indulging in other Star Wars media.
Jango unwittingly saves the day, coming between two factions (Anselmi and the Nautolans) fighting for one artifact and unveiling the true villain (in a way) in the process.
Aurra Sing is in this book and it makes it easier to see why Boba may have ended up with her at one point as well, her camaraderie with Jango is interesting and filled with frienemy energy.
The ending of this is the most interesting piece, setting up Episode 2 perfectly, and leaving me with eyebrows raised, hoping for more.
